The William Cannon and Bannockburn Drive intersection improvements are nearly complete, bringing the William Cannon Corridor Mobility Plan one step closer to the finish line. The project includes a new traffic signal, high-visibility crosswalks, and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps. This is part of the larger William Cannon Corridor Construction Project, which is estimated to cost between $75 million and $90 million. The project began in 2021 and is about 10% complete.

The project goals are to enhance mobility, connectivity, and safety for residents, including those who walk, drive, bike, and take public transit. Roadwork is set to begin by the summer on Menchaca Road between Matthews Lane and Kaiser Drive. The goals of this project are to repair and repave the roadway in that area. This project is part of the Menchaca widening project and is estimated to be completed by the fall of 2023.
