March is full of events for the Lake Travis and West Lake areas! From a fraud prevention workshop to a backyard celebration, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Lake Travis Community Library will host a fraud prevention workshop on Feb. 28 with Sergeant Jason Brown from the Lakeway Police Department. Brown will teach residents to protect themselves against the threat of identity theft.
The Lakeway Arts District will have a special art exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1-31 at the Lake Travis Community Library. The exhibit will have paintings, drawings, mixed media sculptures and more by local women artists. The Artist Reception is March 4 from 1:30-3 p.m.
On March 12, the Westbank Library is kicking off a week of spring break programs with backyard music from artist Staci Gray as well as face-painting from professional painter and event artist Lady B.
Community members are encouraged to donate blood at the Lakeway Activity Center on March 18. Blood collected at these drives is dedicated for use in the 10-county area surrounding Travis County.
On March 22, the Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon with guest speaker Samantha Witkowski, events and marketing director for Frontyard Brewing.
The Lakeway Activity Center will host a citywide indoor garage sale on March 25. At the garage sale, attendees can shop for household goods, clothing, electronics, jewelry, knick-knacks, furniture, collectibles and more. The activity center will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food for the local food bank.
The Spicewood Arts Society will host a live performance starring Stoney LaRue at Spicewood Vineyards on March 25. Stoney LaRue is an award-winning country singer who has 1 million albums sold along with over 20 years of experience as an entertainer.
Finally, the Bee Cave Library will host a concert with Staci Gray on March 25. Gray is a children’s entertainer based in the Austin area who will help the library kick off its “Spring Into Reading” week during spring break with dancing, singing and bubbles.
