On March 7th, Leander, Texas returned to Phase 2 water conservation efforts after the successful repair on the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority pipeline. The repair work began in late February and was completed on March 1st.
Phase 2 of the city’s Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan allows for weekly irrigation before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m. on designated watering days, which are determined by street addresses. Handheld watering is also permitted at any time.
Leander is taking important steps to protect their water supply and ensure the conservation of water resources. Residents can help by following the water conservation plan, and by taking steps to conserve water in their own homes.
