On March 7, Leander returned to Phase 2 water conservation efforts following the successful repair of a new leak in the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority pipeline. The repair work began in late February and was completed on March 1.
Phase 2 of the city’s Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan allows for weekly irrigation before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m. on designated watering days. Handheld watering is also permitted at any time. Residents are encouraged to read the plan for more information on water conservation in Leander.
