Home inventory in Central Texas is on the rise, according to a February report by the Austin Board of Realtors. Prices in Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto are slightly decreasing, leaving more room for buyers to find a great deal.
The Austin Board of Realtors reported that the median price of a single-family home in Central Texas was $330,000 in February, a 2.1% decrease from the same time last year. In the same period, the number of homes for sale increased by 8.1%.
Realtors in the area are optimistic about the housing market, citing the increased inventory as a positive sign for buyers. With more homes available, buyers can take their time to find the perfect home for their needs.
“We’ve seen a steady increase in the number of homes for sale in Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto,” said Austin Board of Realtors President Romeo Manzanilla. “This is great news for buyers, as they’ll have more options to choose from.”
Manzanilla also noted that the increased inventory could lead to more competition among buyers, which could drive up prices. He encouraged buyers to act quickly if they find a home that meets their needs.
“The market is constantly changing, so it’s important to act quickly if you find a home that you like,” Manzanilla said. “Don’t wait too long, or you could miss out on a great deal.”
