Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees discussed four priority areas to develop its strategic direction at their March 6 workshop. GISD’s four identified strategic areas are student learning and growth, student and staff well-being, staff recruitment and retention, and community and connectivity. Each school year the board will identify a few objectives in each area to prioritize. The strategic direction will be the guiding framework for the school board’s goals as well as the campus and district improvement plans. Superintendent Fred Brent said, “When understanding the needs of our district, we want to gain clarity of a vision, what we are working toward, so that we can build quality objectivity for every campus.”
