Capital Metro and Austin Community College (ACC) have partnered to provide students and staff with free rides on the CapMetro transit system throughout the summer, until August 27th. The Summer Green Pass grants unlimited rides to eligible individuals, making it easier for them to commute to class, work, and explore the vibrant Austin, Texas community.
Regrettably, Continuing Education students and hourly employees are not eligible for this offer. To obtain a Summer Green Pass, eligible students and staff can either get a physical pass from their campus manager’s office or download a digital pass through the CapMetro app, using their ACC email address to sign in.
The Summer Green Pass covers various transit services, including Capital Metro Fixed Route Service, Express Bus Service, MetroAccess, and MetroRail services. The Green Pass program is funded by ACC’s sustainability fee and revenue generated from parking permit fees. Each pass is valid for one semester, and a new pass must be obtained for each subsequent semester.
